Introducing our newest member of the Aspen Croft team
Last Sunday, Claire Morson came up from Toronto to spend a few weeks learning about farming at Aspen Croft. Since day one, Claire has jumped into the role with both feet, helping with all aspects of the farm this spring. Each morning begins with bottle feeding to supplement this little lamb and a few others that were born with many siblings (we had several sets of quadruplets this year, another litter of five and even a litter of six for the first time!).

In addition to feeding the animals, Claire helps us with fencing repairs, collecting eggs, cleaning the barn, caring for any sick animals, moving animals to their new spring homes (herding ducks was a first for her!), and getting our garden ready.
So far, Claire has experienced some of the most rewarding parts of farm life, including earning the affection of these little lambs, as well as some of the downsides ... apparently getting accidentally shocked by the electric fence won’t be the highlight of Claire’s time with us :o(
All in all, Claire seems to be having a great time and is learning very quickly. She has been a great addition to our team!
